No 1aa team has ever beaten a ranked 1a team until the Michigan vs. Appalachian State game. Much less beat a #5 ranked team.

Is there any other game that could even come close for the biggest upset ever in college football?

I can't think of a single game that can match this.

Michigan blew it at home to a division 2A football team. It's just silly, not one single person could have logically thought Michigan was going to lose this.

No, this takes the cake. Biggest upset in college football history, bar none. Appalachian State is a good team - favored to win the I-AA title this year. But no one could've seen this one coming. I just wish I had gotten to see it.

Appalachian State is better than advertised and Michigan is overrated (as usual) would be my first guess.

Bad coaching played a factor too - the coaches failed to get the team prepared and let the players read to much media hype.

I thought for sure ESPN Classic would run it as their Sunday morning game, but no. If there is a rebroadcast, let's make sure the time, date and channel get posted. I'm sure there are millions of fans around the world who don't get Big Ten Network and would just LOVE to see the biggest upset in college football history!
