Former Michigan star and major league pitcher Jim Abbott was one of eleven former players and coaches inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
Abbott said during Wednesday's ceremony that he's proud to be the first Wolverines player to make the Hall.
The Flint native was born without a right hand. But Abbott led Michigan to two Big Ten titles before going directly to the big leagues. He played ten seasons with the California Angels, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.
