ANN ARBOR, Mich. - After leading the Wolverines to their first ever Super Regional appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Rich Maloney has agreed to terms on a five-year contract that will keep the Wolverines head coach in Ann Arbor through the end of the 2012 season.
"This is a very happy moment for my family and I, and the Michigan baseball family, that I'll be staying at Michigan for the next five years at least," said Maloney. "I'm just extremely excited to work with this great group of guys and staff, and be part of the new stadium and enjoy being able to watch the dream that I had of the new stadium come to fruition."
Maloney has a record of 191-112 (.630%) in his five seasons at Michigan.
