| Forcier Leaves U of M Quarterback Jason Forcier said he will remain a life-long Michigan fan, but he has decided to transfer to Stanford. "Deep down, I love Michigan, and I love the fans, but from a football standpoint, it was in my best interest to transfer," Forcier said Wednesday by phone from California. "I didn't think I'd be able to maximize my ability at Michigan." Forcier has been a backup to three-year starter Chad Henne . Forcier said he started thinking about transferring before spring practice after he had minor surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right (throwing) shoulder. He will have to sit out a season, but will have two years of eligibility remaining. Former U-M quarterback Jim Harbaugh is Stanford's coach. Angelique S.
