The Wolverines enter this game on a down note after failing to land the knockout punch against the mighty Ohio State Buckeyes in their last outing.
The Wolverines had the Buckeyes dazed, but couldn't put them away late, as Ohio State got the cover win 65-61. The lost cost Michigan a more favorable seed in the conference tournament and a payday for the blue and maize backers.
Michigan should be able to regroup against a much weaker Minnesota club. The Wolverines won both meetings against the Gophers this season and will be out for some revenge after Minnesota beat them in last year’s tourney.
