The Michigan State Spartans search for their fifth straight win tonight as they drop in on the Michigan Wolverines for a Big Ten Conference bout from Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor. On Saturday night, the Spartans knocked off the Indiana Hoosiers in a 66-58 decision at home, making the team an impressive 18-1 in their own building in 2006-07, with the only setback coming against nationally-ranked Ohio State earlier this month. Not only that, the victory was also the 13th straight for MSU against Indiana in the building. As for the Wolverines, who are an even 7-7 in conference thus far, they have alternated wins and losses over the last six games. The most recent installment in that trend was a 62-51 victory against Minnesota on the road this past Saturday. Michigan is now shooting for back-to-back wins for the first time since defeating inferior opponents like Penn State and Purdue more than five weeks ago. Michigan State won the first meeting between the squads with a 59-44 thumping at the Breslin Center on February 13, which means the Wolverines still have a 90-70 advantage in the all-time series between the programs.
Well we might have a a shot now at the tourny. Still need to win a few games in the Big Ten Tournament though. A win against OSU Saturday would also help a lot.

I always thought 20 wins was just about a lock. Is this no longer the case?
