| Re: 2007 Michigan Football Schedule be very careful what you wish for with LLoyd retiring. Not sure what anyone really wants out of a head coach, every year, there are a few hired guns that make a big impact like Urban Meyer, but honestly, I have been a Michigan fan since I was three, and I am as frustrated as anyone by the way the ends of the last several years have gone, but name me someone who will be better than LLoyd and still hold true to the tradition and pride of Michigan Football. I think people forget that Bo (god rest his soul) had an awful track record in the Rose Bowl and bowls in general. LLoyd did somthing that Bo was unable to do and that was win a national championship. One thing LLoyd has always done is have top notch, national caliber QB's, and with Ryan Mallet in the fold, the tradion there will continue. Michigan always hires their coach from within the system, (Bo was the last hired from outside the school 1969), you guys tell me, who on that staff is a better recruiter or motivator than LLoyd Carr? I just don't think LLoyd is the problem here, he manages the clock well, he NEVER gets blown out by anyone, you forget the Rose Bowl was 0-0 at the half last year. His teams always have a chance to win. Sometimes the breaks go your way, sometimes they don't. Think back to the OSU game and the 15 yard penalty for the hit out of bounds on Troy Smith? If that call goes the other way, Michigan probably wins that game(they were rolling at the time) and the face Florida in the BCS game and you never hear negative words about LLoyd again. Remember the margin between a great coach and a good coach can be as simple as a couple breaks going your way.
