Wolverines' backs are against the wall at Ohio State
Royal Oak Daily Tribune, MI - 6 hours ago
ANN ARBOR -- To snap a three-game losing streak, all the Michigan Wolverines have to do is go to Columbus tonight and beat third-ranked Ohio State on its home court. No other Big Ten team has been able to manage that this season.

It's a tough assignment that could become even more difficult if starting forward Brent Petway is not able to play because of an injured left knee. He expects to be a game-time decision.

Michigan (16-7, 4-4 Big Ten) is coming off a crucial loss at home to Iowa on Wednesday. Prior to the game several of the Wolverines called it a "must-win" situation. Stunned afterward, the Wolverines now are tied for fifth in the Big Ten with eight conference games left.

ImediNews, Georgia - Feb 7, 2007
COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI) — Mike Conley Jr. had 23 points and six assists Tuesday as the third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 76-63.

Greg Oden added 15 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots for the Buckeyes (21-3, 9-1 Big Ten), who have won eight straight games.

Courtney Sims had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines (16-8, 4-5), who have lost four in a row. Ekpe Udoh and Dion Harris each scored 14 points.

The game was close in the first half, with Ohio State taking an early four-point lead on Daequan Cook's three-pointer. The Buckeyes held that margin at halftime after Conley had a layup and a free throw for a 33-29 edge.
