Michigan has promoted former defensive backs coach Ron English, once thought lost to the Chicago Bears, to defensive coordinator and have hired two new assistants -- Ron Lee and Steve Szabo.

Lee has been a defensive backs coach with Wisconsin during the past three years and will coach corners for the Wolverines. Szabo, a former DB coach with the Buffalo Bills, will coach the linebackers. Both should work out pretty nicely for Michigan.

You are absolutely correct. English had accepted a position with the Bears and then backed out at the last second. Not to get too far off subject, but how can coaches gets away with this? In the business world if you put in your two weeks you are more than likely not going to get a chance to change your mind. It dumbfounds me!
