| Spartans vs. UAB The Mark Dantonio era kicks off with a game that could be trickier that it looks. UAB historically plays teams tough, even though they went just 3-9 in 2006. Still, Michigan State has a duo of quality running backs in Javon Ringer and Jehuu Caulcrick. So they should be able to pull out a victory on Saturday, right?

| Re: Spartans vs. UAB I expected this game to be a lot closer, but the Spartans won it 55-18. I'm impressed by MSU - Caulcrick ran for nearly 100 yards and four touchdowns, QB Brian Hoyer was 14-of-17 for 201 yards, and the Spartans were up 45-3 by the half. Hmm, with Michigan's loss to Appalachian State, maybe the Spartans are the best team in the state this year, eh? |
