Meet The Spartans
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Children 12 and under are invited to attend the fifth-annual "Meet The Spartans" on Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 5:45-7:15 p.m. at Meridian Mall in Okemos, Mich. First-year Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio and members of the 2007 football team will be available for autographs and pictures in the Center Court area of the mall.

Well, apparently there were about 3,800 fans who wanted to get in on the action. And I'm not sure I'd call the Spartans a bottom-feeder team. Middle of the pack in the Big Ten right now, yes, but they have a decent shot of getting bowl eligible in 2007 I think.
