| Drew Stanton Spartans MVP Michigan State fifth-year senior quarterback Drew Stanton, who accounted for 2,252 total yards and 17 touchdowns in 2006, was selected Most Valuable Player by his teammates at the Spartan Football Senior Awards Banquet, held Monday, Nov. 20 at the LaSalle Bank Club in Spartan Stadium. Stanton became the first Spartan quarterback to win team MVP honors twice since inception of the Governor's Award in 1931. He also earned the team's top individual award following the 2004 season. | Re: Drew Stanton Spartans MVP Stanton's numbers are good, but I still can't seem to shake the notion that he could've been so much more. If he was on a better team, with a better coach, maybe he would've been something really special. Imagine him under Charlie Weis' system. Or Urban Meyer's.
