Spartans record comeback

The Michigan State Spartans, trailing the Northwestern Wildcats 38-3 in the third quarter, completed the largest comeback in NCAA Division I-A history, scoring 38 unanswered points to win the game, 41-38.

Here's a rundown of how the comeback went down. With the score at 38-3 in the third, Drew Stanton hit Jehuu Caulcrick for an 18-yard touchdown and the PAT was good. Later in the quarter, A.J. Jimmerson scored on a 4-yard run, and the point after made it 38-17.

In the fourth quarter, MSU first blocked punt, and Ashton Henderson returned it 33 yards for the score. Stanton added an 11-yard touchdown run and a 9-yard pass to T.J. Williams to tie the game at 38-all. Finally, Brett Swenson kicked a 28-yard field goal to give the Spartans their first lead of the game and, ultimately, the win.

"It hasn't really sunk in yet," Stanton told the Associated Press after the game. "Hopefully this can be a turning point in our season. I definitely think it can be and people can build from this." What do you guys think about this amazing, amazing comeback by the Michigan State Spartans?
