Steve Mariucci

I'm a wolverines fan obviously. However the rivalry between the two needs to be restored. Michigan State's slide is unacceptable when you have that much talent. Remember State fans. The Mooch is best friends with Tom Izzo. The Moochster still lives here in Michigan. Trust me he's not going to leave Michigan. He's waiting in the wings. Heck, I say if State doesn't beat The Buckeye's. You fire coach Smith now don't wait till the end of the season and honor his contract. I mean pay him to the end of the season. But, State's gotta show that they mean business now not later.

Re: Steve Mariucci

Hi wolverinefan35, welcome to GoTeamsGo

I agree with you that Michigan State needs to do something. The recent teams have not been up to their historical stuff.

Didn't realize that Mariucci & Izzo both went to Northern Michigan. Were they buddies there or did they meet up afterwards?

Why do you think Steve Mariucci would want to coach at Mich State? Has he expressed some interest?

Re: Steve Mariucci

They've been best friend's since they met in school. I would just say that it's a solid pick, that Mariucci would be the front runner for the job. I'm sure Tom Izzo has already spoken to him about the possibilitie's. If Steve is interested in the job I'm almost postive it's his for the taking.
