EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Matt Trannon set a school-record with 14 catches and Drew Stanton accounted for five touchdowns as Michigan State beat Eastern Michigan 52-20 on Saturday.
Trannon had 151 yards receiving, caught two touchdowns and threw a 35-yard scoring pass to A.J. Jimmerson. Stanton threw three TD passes and ran for two scores.
Michigan State (2-0) was up 24-3 with just over four minutes left in the first half when the Eagles (0-2) scored two quick touchdowns before halftime. One TD came on a trick play that ended with a 39-yard scoring pass from wide receiver Dontayo Gage to Travis Lewis.
