| Hurricanes open spring practice CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- After one practice, Miami quarterback Robert Marve likes what he sees from the Hurricanes. "I thought we had a good first day," Marve said Tuesday following the first of Miami's 15 spring practices. "It takes a little while for things to pick up and have some rhythm, especially on the first day of spring football when you are coming back and have new guys." Most eyes were -- and will probably remain -- on the quarterback position Tuesday, where Marve and newcomers Jacory Harris and Cannon Smith will vie for the starting job.
