There's just something about this game that smells like a trap game for Miami, probably because of Davis and the team's road record. But I really think UNC comes away with the win here. I just have a gut feeling about it. |

| Re: Miami vs. North Carolina North Carolina 33, Miami 27 final. Close one, but the Heels pulled it out! According to the Associated Press, "Brandon Tate scored on a long end-around in a spurt of 27 points to start the game and Connor Barth kicked four field goals to lead North Carolina past Miami 33-27, giving coach Butch Davis a victory against his former program... Anthony Elzy ran for 95 yards and a score for the Tar Heels (2-4, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who turned in a dominating performance to take a 27-0 lead at halftime then hung on as the Hurricanes twice rallied to within a touchdown in the second half." A win's a win, but WOW - this one had to be nerve-wracking for UNC fans! NCAA Football - Miami (FL) Hurricanes/North Carolina Tar Heels Recap Saturday October 6, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports |

| Re: Miami vs. North Carolina So I didn't get to take any pictures during the game. My camera's battery was dead and I could not find the charger to charge it. I would have gotten some great pictures from where I was sitting also. Anyways, I don't know if they showed this on tv or on ESPN but there was a review of a play in the 2nd quarter when UNC was up 20-0. Well, they are playing some rap music in the stadium and the Miami defense starts dancing in a huddle like they are winning the game 60-0, along with the mascot and some of the players on the sideline, and their fans in the stadium. UNC is in a huddle on the sideline going over the next potential play. Well, one particular idiot (#81 Calias Campbell) for Miami is dancing around the huddle like a big dummy. The Play stands after the review and UNC comes to the line and runs a reverse to Brandon Tate. Campbell reads the play and moves to the outside to be met by the pulling guard who plows him over and Tate runs for 54 yards and a TD. As soon as the TD happens, the smart UNC sound techs start playing the same rap song that they Miami players were dancing too. Immediately the UNC fans (I would say 80%). Start dancing and screaming and pointing to the Miami players. It was so great to see the UNC fans getting into this game. It was a great atmosphere, great weather, and a great win!!! |
