The Miami Hurricanes have announced that Kylan Robinson has been moved from running back to linebacker. Says coach Randy Shannon, "We just needed a little more depth at linebacker at this time... We asked him to move. He said he wanted to do what was best to help the team. He's an athlete, so you can play athletes at any position." Good move?

They are thin at LB, so they're going to need all the help they can get. Hope he's ready for OU.

My only concern would be that this is pretty late in the game to make a switch like that, mentally, and have time to learn the defense.

Shannon discussed Robinson's first practice at LB on Wednesday: "He made some good plays... He looked good out there. He's a smart kid. He's not busting anything. That's promising for a guy with two days of practice after switching positions. The more he can keep picking up, the more he can help us." That definitely sounds promising.
