Who will Coach the Canes in '07???

I was just curious to get some opinions on this one. As a big fan of the ACC, this one is causing me a lot of sleepless nights.

I don't know about Spurrier's contract, but he would be a good fit. He is loved in Florida and has recruited well there. Would the hurricanes have to pay compensation if he is still uder contract to South Carolina.

Yeah, Miami would more than likely have to buy out his contract.
I think Alvarez from Wisconsin would be a great fit, he would bring the focus the Canes need to get back on top in the ACC.

Re: Who will Coach the Canes in '07???

Corso was talking about Barry Alvarez going to Miami but I thought he was saying Alverez as the AD, not the coach.

Right now, I'm thinking all the Steve Spurrier rumors are just rumors. He's denied everything and I think he's a good fit in South Carolina.

Greg Schiano is going to go somewhere but I'm going to buy into what Corso & Herbstreit said this morning. Miami's facilities stink and Greg Schiano is holding out for the Penn State job.

Miami's going to be hard pressed to get a big name for the job.

I like to ignore Corso, he tends to ruffle my feathers. He's on my list of people who need a pie in face.

Re: Who will Coach the Canes in '07???

Corso was picking Alvarez for both coach and AD, but I thought the reason he stepped down in Wisconsin was because he got tired of doing both jobs. I can't see him bailing on the Badgers now. Schiano, Spurrier and Levitte seem to be the popular choices. Anyone know of any good dark horses, or guys who aren't candidates but should be?
