Miami - Boston College game

Miami needs this win to keep from finishing with a sub-.500 record. Boston College needs this win to stay in the ACC championship picture. It comes down to talent and motivation, and after watching the Canes over the past couple of weeks, I'm sorry to say that it looks like the Eagles have the edge in both categories. In what should be Larry Coker's last game as Miami coach, I expect a big B.C. win as a big punctuation mark to his era. What do you guys think?

I couldn't have said it any better myself. I agree with you on every point.

Bye-bye Coker.

Is Miami's streak at risk?...Should they even be considered for a Bowl the way they have played this year?

No, it'd be like Notre Dame a few years ago when the passed on what would have been a second or third tier bowl bid. It'd probably actually be more embarrassing to the program to go and play than to just stay home.

Miami Knocks Off No. 18 Boston College, 17-14

Kirby Freeman threw for 181 yards and a touchdown, Javarris James' 2-yard run in the third quarter put Miami ahead to stay, and the Hurricanes' defense stifled No. 18 Boston College in rallying for a 17-14 win Thursday night.
The Hurricanes (6-6, 3-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) snapped a four-game losing streak and became bowl-eligible.

Huge upset here by the Canes, who get bowl eligible with the win. This a job saver for Larry Coker?

Noo this is a classic case of "too little too late". Coker is gone and I think he knows it. This article is a few days old, but I think it answers your question.
