Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Cavaliers

Less than a week following the death of teammate Bryan Pata, the Hurricanes football team were unsuccessful in their bid to beat Maryland and win one for their fallen teammate. This week, they travel to Virginia and find themselves in an unfamiliar position -- as a .500 team. Can Miami rebound with a win over the Cavaliers? Will Kyle Wright play?

Re: Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Cavaliers

This is the one that the Canes should dedicate to Pata as it is a sure win against the woefull Cavs. And I don't think they can beat BC.

Canes 24
Cavs 7

I'm not believing this, I was certain Maimi was going to clean house on the Cavs. Thats ok, Va. Tech will take care of that next weekend.
I scheduled my wedding around the VT vs UVA game a few years ago.

I agree with you, Coker and Bowden should walk hand in hand out of the ACC.

And Miami had a chance to get back Butch Davis.

OOPS, he went to UNC instead. I really hope we get Greg Schiano to come to UM.

I've been making all the Rutgers guys mad suggeting Schiano was going to the ACC.

I've been burning inscents and sacraficing small furry animals hoping that will presuade the football gods to sent Schiano to Miami

Well it's official. We've hit rock bottom.

I'd type more, but it's kind of hard free falling from a fifteen-story building.

lol,lol...
I know what you mean, my family had to come out and talk me down off the roof...on a happier note, Boston College is spanking the Terps.

Miami has BC next, oh well there goes the Canes chances for a Bowl game.

I guess I'll bide my time until the Va.Tech, Wake Forest game watching that Big-10 game every one's been talking about.

UNC beat NC State. Maybe if UNC played like that all season, Bunting wouldn't be collecting unemployment checks.

UNC has Duke next, that should be another "W" for the Heels.

That VTech/Wake Fo game is gonna be good.

I'll be at the BC game... you never know, I guess. If anything, it gives the fans a chance to pay respects to Pata.

Let's just say I'm not entirely thrilled with the current coaching staff. Everyone I know who is a regular canes fan is absolutely pulling their hair out.

Ugh.

Re: Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Cavaliers

Yea, I hope the loss to UVA is the final straw...Cokers gotta go. I was pulling for the Canes to win this one for Pata. As a team, those boys must be totaly emotionly spent.

I can't imagine the negative affect this season will have on Miami's ability to recruite the caliber of player they could get in the past.

Re: Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Cavaliers

...and that's exactly why they need to pull the trigger on Coker ASAP, if they could even bring in somebody who could lure these guys back.

In hindsight, they blew it with Butch.

By waiting through the season to can Coker (granted that they actually fire the guy), I can only imagine it is to wait to make an offer to someone after the season is over. :Cough:Schiano:cough:

I've expressed a lot of doubt... but hey, I can still be hopeful, right?

Miami's not looking for grounds keepers are they.
