Hurricanes - Florida A&M game

After a tough loss to the Seminoles, Miami looks to rebound this week against Florida A&M

Miami might be happy it doesn't have to wait too long to face its next opponent.

Five days removed from a second consecutive season-opening loss to their archrivals, the 17th-ranked Hurricanes look to take out their frustrations on Florida A&M at the Orange Bowl on Saturday.

A 13-10 loss to No. 11 Florida State on Monday dropped Miami five spots in the AP poll. The Hurricanes can only hope to respond from the defeat as they did last year, winning eight in a row after opening with a 10-7 loss to the Seminoles.

"This is something that's going to test us," Miami quarterback Kyle Wright said. "A good team's going to stay together and see (the Seminoles) in Jacksonville (for the ACC title game). And right now, we have to move on. We have to put it behind us."

Miami will be trying to improve upon a horrendous offensive performance.

The Hurricanes had the second-lowest rushing total in school history with two yards on 26 carries, and they were held to 17 total yards in the second half. Wright completed 18 of 27 passes, but threw for only 132 yards and had one interception.
This should be a good chance for the Hurricanes to improve their offensive execution, as the 0-1 Rattlers will likely provide little competition in this game. The question is, can Miami effectively use this weekend to regroup and make a run for the ACC title game?
