Looks like Alonzo Mourning is going to remain with Miami. According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, "The Heat continued to place its roster focus on retaining its championship core with Friday's announcement that a contract agreement has been reached with backup free-agent center Alonzo Mourning." Good move?

I've been sour on Alonzo since he completely screwed around with the Nets. I'm not Nets fan, but he completely messed with them.

In any event, he was productive for the Heat but how long can he keep it up?

I'm not a big fan of the guy either. But at 20 minutes a night, he's a perfect backup. And you have to give him credit coming back from that liver or kidney ailment.

He is the kind of athlete who is known for stuffing his hands down people's throats. He is an amazing blocker, with a great amount of skill at his age. You would think that his skills have diminished (which they have) but he is still a strong defensive and semi-offense force in the NBA
