Wade Best NBA Player

Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat is the best player in the NBA. That's not my personal opinion, but apparently it is ESPN's, because if you take a gander at the list of http://www.goteamsgo.com/forum/other...html#post34539 you'll see that Wade took home Best NBA Player honors over the likes of LeBron and Kobe. You agree with their pick?

I would say its a toss up between the three...Lebron against the Piston was every bit as good as Wade in the finals...only he didn't have Shaq with him...Kobe just didn't have a team.

Yeah, maybe I'm biased, but I would've like to see LeBron win it.

Re: Wade Best NBA Player

After his performance in The Finals, Wade was the right selection. Yes, he was receiving an inordinate amount of calls, but he absolutely carried that team too four straight wins. Shaq was virtually a non-factor and Antoine Walker was the second best player in the finals, and they won? That's more impressive too me than anything else you can say about him.

Re: Wade Best NBA Player

Dwayne Wade is definitely one of the most athletic players in sports right now. I wouldn't be so quick to hand him the award, though. Kobe Bryant had 81 points this season which is an unforgettable moment in basketball history. LeBron James led his team to the Playoffs, at his young age. But Dwayne Wade brought the Heat to the Finals to win it all with his stunning performances. He deserves the Award after all is considered.

I agree with Cjg11582's perspective on this situation.

Re: Wade Best NBA Player

The only award that really matters... is the award given for Finals MVP. The player given that award is the Champion. Which would you rather be..Regular Season MVP or Finals MVP? Think of all the great players who have one the Regular season MVP but not the Championship....Karl Malone(twice), Charles Barkley, Kevin Garnett, and Steve Nash(twice)...Don't you think each of these players would trade that award for a Championship? Wade is deserving of this recognition.

Welcome to the GoTeamsGo Fan Forum, Doctor Know.

I hope you share your basketball and hopefully baseball knowledge with us in the future. I encourage you to participate in our daily discussions in the MLB section of the forum.

I agree with your perspective, by the way.
