Heat in the Finals

The Miami Heat has disbanded the old bad boy network. Tonite the Pistons went down to the Heat in a 95-78 win. This is a dominating win. Shaq had 28 points and SIXTEEN rebounds. Wade only had 21 points and this article called him lagging. The expectations for Wade are high. Well half the Finals are set. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BKN_PISTONS_HEAT?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEF AULT&CTIME=2006-06-02-23-45-06

Good riddance to the Pistons. Ben Wallace in particular.

Re: Heat in the Finals

Whatever the cause, they just weren't the same team this year. And you KNOW Saunders will get the lion's share of the blame, but Detroit is clearly a team that has already peaked and is currently in the midst of its denouement.

Cool Re: Heat in the Finals

I would love to have been the fly on the wall wherever Koby Bryant was watching this game

Re: Heat in the Finals

I will be cheering wholeheartedly for the West in this years Finals. I can't stand the Heat. I mean, Shaq and Wade are nice and all but the supporting guys I can't stand. Namely, Pat Riley and Alonzo Mourning. I just don't want them winning a ring...call it jealousy or whatever but I just don't want to see it.

Especially Alonzo...who came back from what he did (and bless him for that) but then put the screws to the one team that wanted him in New Jersey and demanded to leave. He showed no loyalty to the team that helped him at a time in his life where he probably could've retired as easily. And to put the icing on the cake, he was apart of those Miami teams that feuded with the Knicks...back when they were in the playoffs annualy

GO WEST!

Re: Heat in the Finals

It wasn't that hard to do this year. Considering the Pistons (who had the best NBA record) were held up to Game 7 numerous times, I was just waiting for somebody to beat them in a series. They obviously choked in the post-season which is virtually more important than the regular season. They have a great team for the present and the future, which leads me to believe that they will continue to challenge for the NBA Championship Title. They are a strong team mentally and physically and just have a few "kinks" to work out. See them next year!

Re: Heat in the Finals

I might be in the minority, but I hope the Heat get it done in the Finals. Everybody wants to cheer against Riley for one reason or the next, but why would you want to cheer for a guy like Cuban?

Re: Heat in the Finals

I think many NBA fans have mixed feelings about Cuban.

I am personally part of your so called, "minority" who hopes that the Heats win the Finals. I thought that the Heat would reach the Finals after they remade their line-up in the off-season. I wasn't counting on this year, due to the dominance of the Spurs and Pistons--but this may be their year!
