| Pat Riley resigns Pat Riley has resigned as the head coach of the Miami Heat, and vows this time he's done for good. Riley stepped down on Monday, naming 37-year-old Erik Spoelstra as his successor. Spoelstra has been with the Heat since 1995 and will now be the youngest coach in the NBA. | Re: Pat Riley resigns Mark my words: Riley will be back. He'll wait till Spoelstra builds this team back into a title contender, then swoop in and take all the credit. Just like with Van Gundy. |
