Re: Nets-Heat Series

Huge win for Miami yesterday. Can they keep playing that well?

Re: Nets-Heat Series

I only watched the first quarter of the game (or until Miami was a 25-4, ugh, what an eye-sore) and Miami was shooting the ball like Detroit was against Cleveland in game one. Even Udonis Haslem nailed a jumper that tickled the bottom of the net. If that continues Miami will win in five, but I would not count on it.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Final Score: Heat 111, Nets 89
Nets' Top:Vince Carter w/ 22
Heats' Top: Dwayne Wade w/ 31

Lefty Noob, you may have picked Wade but you didn't win the game!

The only reasons the Heat won the game was because:
--Shaquille O' Neal played like Shaq of the Lakers
--RJ got 16 (but with ankle injury)
--Nets didn't play good defense

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Hey, half right is better than I usually do!

Why don't you go ahead and pick the next one, Marc. Maybe you can get both the top scorer and the winning team right.

Cool Re: Nets-Heat Series

Clliff Robinson is suspended for 5 games because of drugs. This is not good at all for The Nets.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Alright, Lefty Noob.

Tomorrow's Game:Heat vs. Nets
My Prediction:Heat beat Nets, 104-89
Tomorrow's Match-Up: Dwayne Wade vs. Vince Carter
My Prediction:Vince Carter scores 31 points over Wade's 29 points

Those are broad predictions right there, but lets see how they play out.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Okay, so you've got Carter outscoring Wade but the Heat winning by 15. We'll see.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

I was close, but I ended up half-right.

Final Score:102-92, Heat over Nets
Top Scorer:Wade with 31, over Carter's 26

I was in the range, but I didn't get it on the bullseye.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

The Nets have been unable to stop Wade( how many times is this guy going to be knocked down, leave the arena, and then come back) and have been burned by Walker and Haslem. They look down and out. Woody Paige is looking like a genius for saying the heat would not lose after Game Two. Am I the only guy that has a hard time with Wade falling on the floor like he was shot and then getting up and excelling? It seems like he is trying to follow the script of his sneaker commercials. Give me a break.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Tomorrow is the next match-up in this dramatic series. It is in Miami and the Heat have a 3-1 lead over the New Jersey Nets. Make your predictions now before it's too late. Here are the current standings:

1.Lefty Noob:1/2
1.MJHMarc:1/2

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Okay, I'll go with the Nets to win, 96-88, and in a bold move, I'm going to say that Carter and Wade each finish with 28 points. I want the higher degree of difficulty.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

The difference between the Heat and the Nets is pretty much that the Nets have to do everything right to win and the Heat just have to play well. The Heat are a true playoff and championship caliber team that has their eye on the prize and are even pacing themselves for it. The Nets have to give it all they got and if they win...they are lucky. Check out this article http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald...l/14580214.htm

Cool Re: Nets-Heat Series

That's that. Looks like Lawrence Frank is not the genius Rod Thorn thought he was when they let Byron Scott go. Not that he did a bad job necessarily, but he certainly didn't do anything to get his team to compete in this series. He sort of just sit back and let Vince Carter do his thing.

Re: Nets-Heat Series

Lefty Noob left the series on a sour note going 0-2 on guessing. I think our guessing percentages are starting to look worse than Shaquille O' Neal's free-throw percentage. Yikes!

It was really a close game but Miami pulled off a victory 106-105 sending the Nets back home. Vince Carter was the dominant scorer of this game pulling down 33 points while Wade only scored a mere 21 points. It was a great game all in all but it really got to credit the Nets for coming back keeping up their hopes of advancing in the Playoffs. The Heat stopped the spread immediatly but it was an excellent effort on both ends of the court.
