ok........i know im a Walker homer from when he played in Boston......i wish we kept him and got rid of Pierce

Walker just went over 15,000 points......i believe he is now in the top 100 all-time in total points scored

on top of that he is only 30 years old and he has a ring

give him another 5 years or so and 1000 points a year and he will enter into the top 30 all-time

is that enough for HOF consideration ?

nope...look Adrian Dantley was a much better player that got multiple seasons of +30.0 ppg...and he is not in...the selfish Walker doesn't have a prayer...and I like the guy...

Gotta agree with you on this one. Antoine hit some really clutch shots in the playoffs last year, but he hasn't been reliable on the court for Miami (I never really followed him at Boston). He has really struggled this season... his numbers are down across the board. If he peaked last year, then there's no way he's HOF bound.

I really like the guy. I followed his career when he was with Boston. I used to make sure to go to the Cavs/Celtics game every year to see him play. I am sad to say I don't think he will get in. He'll be on the ballot and even get some votes, but not enough to get in.

Sorry Simon but I had to do a double take when I read your thread. Antoine Walker is not a Hall of Famer. I honestly don't even think it's arguable.

Don't get caught up in stats. Just ask yourself, was this guy a great player?

Oh brother...stats are important...but in the NBA it will take about 25,000 points...not 20K ...

Adrain Dantley is still out...his finally tallies 23, 177 and a 24.3 average...Walker is at 15,000 and an 18 average and is one dimensional...he has +800 games on his legs...NBAers have maybe between 1,000 and 1200 if they are very, very good and lucky...at his current pace...he will not have the stats...

Peyton's career arc looks like will take him beyond Marino and Favre...a far cry from your man Walker...

but hey, we can disect the numbers every which way...

Even if he hits 20,000 points, he shouldn't make it. He's a good player - just not a a HOF. . What's weird about him is as good as a 3 point shooter he is, he only is a 63.6% foul shooter. That's awful.

Had Walker maintained his early pace, then there could be an argument for him, but with what he has actually done it is not even debatable in my mind that he isn't close to a Hall of Famer.
