Heat defeat Spurs 100-85

Recap via ESPN

D-Wade exploded in the fourth, scoring 18 of his total 26 points and Shaq looked good, for the most part.

The real story, though, seems to be Eddie Jones getting a bunch of playing time on the second team with Wade on the bench and sparked a 17-1 run.

Could Eddie Jones be the missing link for the Heat while Jason Williams heals?

The Heat would love to send Williams packing but they he hasn't been healthy enough to trade. It would seem that if they are to repeat, Wade and Shaq will have to carry most of the burden. Jones can't hurt if he can hit some open shots, which he will get in that offense.

If they could trade him for someone younger, and someone with better defensive potential, I'd understand. But why do you think they'd love to send him packing?

I haven't noticed any indications that they would want to get rid of him. J-Will was instrumental in the playoffs last year, and he adds a good fast-break/3-pt threat -- especially with Wade and Shaq in the game.
