Thumbs up MIAMI Championship???

How far does everyone think they will go? The team is starting to step up together later on in the season. I think they can beat Detriot and make it into the Finals. What do you guys think?

Re: MIAMI Championship???

I like what the Heat have done, but until I see a team actually beat this Pistons team in a 5 or 7 game playoff series, I won't believe it can be done. I guess time will tell.

Re: MIAMI Championship???

Ya I agree. It will be hard for Miami to beat Detriot 5-7 games in a row. The spurs maybe Miami hasn't proved that yet.

Cool Re: MIAMI Championship???

Welcome to GoTeamsGo Anthony...Unless Detroit suffers a major injury, I really don't see them losing to anyone in the East.

What's really amazing about the Pistons is how great Chauncey Billups has become. I think I'll start a new thread on him

Re: MIAMI Championship???

I think that Miami could take Detriot to the wire. But like Lefty said, seeing is believing.

I think it would make for a very interesting series!

Re: MIAMI Championship???

I think if anyone can give Detroit a hard time its Miami. Shaq wants another championship and he is smart enough to know that he can't do it alone. He understands his role as the big man. When the ball comes to him he scores. When the ball is on the perimeter he is wreaking havoc down low. I think Miami has what it takes to take Detroit but whether they will or not I am not sure.

Thumbs down Re: MIAMI Championship???

Miami lacks the chemistry to win a championship. Indiana has a better chance of competing against the Pistons if they're healthy and Peja can fit in well.

I think you wrong the Cavs have a better chance than the Pacers.

Re: MIAMI Championship???

Interesting debate, M3000 and mcclainbabygirl. I'm wondering, would you be willing to present a case for each team, and why you think they may or may not be able to dethrone the Pistons?

Re: MIAMI Championship???

I feel like Cleveland is one guy away from being able to compete at the next level. I like the core group that they have right now, but in order to get to the next level I think that they need to get a dominant big man. A guy that could bang with a Shaq or Wallace. Am I right in thinking this?

Re: MIAMI Championship???

Cleveland has never played that great in the second-half of the season. Indiana has lost the same amount of games as Cleveland and they've been without Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley.

The key to beating Detroit is scoring at least in the 90s and out rebounding them and I think with Peja the scoring will go up and O'Neal will bring back some athleticism if he's healthy.

But right now they're both 4 and 5, so I guess we will know in the playoffs.
