Once thought to be the future quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, John Beck was released on Monday.
He was released just after the Dolphin's pick of Pat White in the '09 draft. White is expected to run the Wildcat offense and also to challenge Chad Henne for the number 2 job.
Beck was a second round pick in '07. He was a former Brigham Young star.
He appeared in five games with four starts as a rookie, completing 60 of 107 passes for 559 yards, with one touchdown pass, three interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 62.0. Beck did not appear in a single game, however, in 2008.

Yeah, but at the time he was drafted the Dolphins were desperate. I had high hopes for him although I had my doubts.

That was the draft when they passed on Brady Quinn and drafted Ted Ginn in the first round and picked up Beck in round 2....I knew that was a mistake.
Where is Cam Camron now? Maybe he can pick up his boy beck again
