Chad Henne will be starter for Miami in 2010

Just in case there were any lingering doubts about John Beck's future in Miami, head coach Tony Sparano confirms what most of us already suspected: Chad Henne is the Dolphins' quarterback of the future. Not the immediate future -- that job is still Chad Pennington's -- but come 2010, the former second-round pick is scheduled to take over the full-time gig.

And while the organization is making plans beyond next season, they want to make one thing clear: there is no quarterback controversy in the interim. Pennington, who came to the Dolphins from the Jets last summer and helped guide the team to an improbable 11-5 record, is firmly entrenched as the starter for '09. Just something to keep in mind.

Re: Chad Henne will be starter for Miami in 2010

I had wondered how that would play out. Im not taking anything away from John Beck, but I believe Chad H. is a better QB. John has never really broken out at Miami. Heck, Ive only seen him on the field a couple times since he came to miami, and that was pre-season. I think its the right move, and besides all that, the Big Tuna and Tony obviously think Chad H is better or it would be him looking to move on instead of Beck.

Since dolphins don't plan on keeping Pennington, and the other two is a Question mark, Now would be a good time to trade for someone like Cutler.

Lets face it, Pennington is not the face of the Franchise.

Im thinking that Pennington will be in Miami for a couple more years, while Chad H is groomed. Chad H will be a good QB. But, I have to admit that Cutler in aqua blue is an attractive thought.
