Re: Saban impressed with Culpepper progress

Seems like Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban has been very impressed with Daunte Culpepper's comeback.

"He's doing very well physically," Saban told the Associated Press. "But I'm not surprised because I see him everyday. Does he still have work to do? Absolutely. Are we ready to make any predictions about his future? Not really, because that's all day to day and week to week, and hopefully he'll continue to make the kind of progress that he's made."

Culpepper tore three knee ligaments back in November. Now there's talk that he may actually start Sept. 7 against the Steelers. That would be downright superhuman in my opinion. Definitely one of the best injury comeback's I've ever seen.

I wonder how the knee is going to change Culpeppers game?...I doubt he will take off and run and get you 10 scores on the ground any more...I am not sure the Dolphins are going to want him running as much.

Not only will that knee change his running style but he wont be able to step into his throws as well either. Then again he was horrendous last year before he got hurt. I dont see him doing a lot this year. I see Harrington getting most of the work. Im sorry 'Phins fans, id start crying at that thought too.

I think Harrington will come around...call it wishful thinking ...call it having bought one too many of his rookie cards...call it whatever...he will be back...
