| Fins want Feely to pipe down There will be a battle in Dolphins training camp at the position of kicker. Not because the incumbent Jay Feely is not a good kicker but because the Fins want Feely to be not as friendly and outspoken as he is. Feely has been on the Learning Channel with his wife, ESPN' First Take and last year had a regional radio show. When asked if he as been told, basically, to stay out of the media spotlight, he said "Yes." Responding to the question how he felt about it, he said he was going to do the things he needed to do to make the people he works for happy even if he didn't always agree with it. Can this guy with a booming leg control his booming mouth? The Dolphins brought White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer to camp to talk to the players about how to handle the media. Afterwards he asked if there were questions. Feely was the only player with a question. He asked for advice on how to handle speaking about a team policy he doesnt agree with. Bill Parcells speaks very enthusiastic about Dan Carpenter, the rookie brought in to compete with Feely. He is much less enthused when speaking about Feely. Will Dolphins kicker put his foot in his mouth? - 06/10/2008 - MiamiHerald.com If they cut Feely, someone will get themselves a darn good kicker.
