Defensive end Jason Taylor has already moved away from South Florida. The only thing left is to figure out his next address. Three sources close to the Dolphins organization said this week that Taylor and the team he has been part of for 11 years have graciously agreed to part ways between now and the NFL draft April 26. There’s no animosity between Taylor and new Dolphins guru Bill Parcells or coach Tony Sparano.

I was kind of waiting for this. Dolphins are going younger everywhere. Apparently it's not for sure Taylor will continue to play, but if he does he wants to go to a team that can contend for the big one.

Not much of the old team, but gutting it is the only way to go. They have signed 6 players in the last couple days, none of them household names but all under 30. The Miami roster is poor because of several years of poor drafting. This is a long term deal and no quick fix. Thats why they brought Bill Parcells in. Just think of the Cowboys.

I think Taylor will still wind up signing somewhere.

Shame he can't finish his career with the Dolphins, but maybe he can sign somewhere where he can get a ring before he hangs 'em up.

I'm pretty sure he will too. That retire stuff is just in case he doesnt get a good enough offer I imagine. But I dont see that happening. This guy still has an awful lot of fire left.
