And on top of that, he makes the #1 overall pick more enticing to would-be trade partners. I think that helps them out the most.

No chance. They're trading the pick. Unlike Matt Millen, Parcells knows how to build a team. They're in cap hell and need to re-build. If they say they're keeping it, it's just a ploy to get a better deal for the pick.

That would make the most sense and Parcells did trade a high draft pick his first year with the Jets when they were in cap trouble.
