Wayne Huizenga has sold off a 50% share in the Miami Dolphins to New York real estate developer Stephen Ross.

“We don’t need some old guy limping around here trying to run this franchise,” Huizenga told reporters yesterday. “I’ve been in this business 18 years now. Pretty soon it’ll be 24, 25. It’s time for someone else to take over.” What does this mean for the franchise?

I thought he promised Parcell's that he would not sell the team. He was supposed to keep control.

Huizenga is a piece of work...I never liked the guy...though he once was interested in a company I had a lot of stock options for...and the deal fell through...so that may color my veiws a little...

Relax guys. Huizenga and his family will own it 50-50 with Ross.
Furthermore the article goes on to say that Bill Parcells was aware of this from day one and was ok with it. Bill will report to Huizenga.

Don't like him at all. But the Robbie family (I think that's right?) that had the team before...gutted a championship team and let go of Csonka, Kick and Warfield...so they were worse.
