Dolphins cut ties with tackle machine Thomas

Dolphins released MLB Zach Thomas.
The move saved Miami just under $3 million in cap space. Thomas finishes his 11-year Dolphins career with 982 tackles. If he can pass a physical, he'll attract teams like the Patriots, Saints, and Broncos. Thomas, 35 in September, is nearing the end of the line but still is capable in run support if he has some blocking.

If Thomas wants to play he'll find a home. Carolina would look like a good fit

Kind of a shame that's how he goes out, but yeah, I think this is the end for him. He'll hang 'em up.
