It's no secret. That's what Parcells does. And it's the right thing to do. Just like Detroit should have traded their pick last year.

I doubt there will be many takers, given the cost both in trade value and in terms of the #1 overall pick's contract.

Has it gotten to that point that teams do not want the top pick because of how much they will have to pay that player.

To some degree, yes. If there was one or two guys out there who really stood out, I think the Dolphins would have an easier time of it.

its not just the pay of the first pick player but of the pressure of picking the first pick player.people are axpecting them to draft mcfadden or dorsey but they might not want to and than there fans turn against them.

Well the Dolphins have so many holes on both sides of the ball that even with the #1 pick they cannot overcome the obstacles so they would best be suited to trade the pick for a established player or grab as many picks as they can to fill the voids.
