Keyshawn Coming To Miami?

Whenever Parcells takes over a new team, he invariably brings back some of his favorite people from his previous team. Parcells has already done that in one instance, with new general manager Jeff Ireland, who previously worked with Parcells in Dallas. Next up could be Keyshawn Johnson.

Johnson, the wide receiver who played for Parcells with both the Cowboys and the Jets, is one of Parcells' all-time favorite players. Johnson retired shortly after the 2007 NFL draft, when it became clear that his last team, the Carolina Panthers, no longer had a place for him. He then took a job with ESPN, where he and Parcells worked together. So will Johnson follow Parcells out of retirement?

Johnson's agent, Jerome Stanley, isn't ruling it out:
''I speak to Keyshawn daily about all aspects of his career, he is very close to Coach Parcells and is in great shape IF he chose to play next year,'' Stanley wrote, responding to an e-mail from The Miami Herald about Johnson's potential interest in returning to play for Parcells. ``Miami could use a good tough veteran like Key to help the current crop of young receivers develop.''

Re: Keyshawn Coming TO Miami?

I wouldnt be surprised. Keyshawn and Parcells were pretty chummy on Espn and Keyshawn still wants to play. He would be a good veteran to help out the young receivers.

Re: Keyshawn Coming TO Miami?

Yeah, it would be a good move. I could see him coming in and helping a kid like Ginn develop.
