Chambers Arrested For Driving Impaired

Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers was arrested in Charlotte early Saturday morning on charges of driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's crime log.
Chambers, who hasn't had any legal troubles during six seasons as the Dolphins' No. 1 receiver, was arrested at 2:31 a.m. He was later released on a $1,750 bond. Details of the arrest were not immediately available.
Neither Chambers nor his agent, Ben Dogra, could be reached.
Players are currently off, and veterans do not need to report to training camp until July 27. The latest arrest is the second time in three weeks a Dolphins player has been in trouble with the law. Chambers is also the third player to be arrested this off-season.
On June 23, defensive tackle Fred Evans, who was kicked off the team as a result of being arrested twice in three months, was picked up on South Beach for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with violence, battery on a police officer and trespassing.
However, Chambers' punishment from the team -- if there is any -- likely won't be nearly as harsh as Evans'. Joey Porter, who was arrested for punching Bengals tackle Levi Jones in a Las Vegas casino in March, did not face any internal punishment from coach Cam Cameron.
The Dolphins did not have an immediate comment about Chambers' arrest.
Chambers is currently preparing for his seventh season with the Dolphins. After a Pro Bowl season in 2005, Chambers will attempt this year to rebound from a mediocre performance in 2006.

CHAMBERS PASSED BREATHALYZER TEST
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Dolphins receiver Chris Chambers passed a breathalyzer test after his Saturday arrest in North Carolina.
Chambers passed the test after being arrested and taken to the police station.
The report does not indicate the concentration of alcohol found in Chambers' blood. Technically, his BAC could be as high as 0.079 percent, since 0.080 percent is the legal limit.
In some states, however, drivers can be prosecuted (and convicted) without "failing" the breath test. Obviously, however, it's slightly more difficult to show that the driver was impaired without a BAC reading of 0.08 or higher.
The passing of the breathalyzer test doesn't change the fact that Chambers was arrested on multiple charges.

Who says I don't like him...had him myself in my leagues...had him two years ago when he has a +200 yard receiving game...great talent...still bad for him...he needs to stay clean.

Re: Chambers Arrested For Driving Impaired

It says he hasnt had any legal issues in his six years with the Dolphins. Let's not put him in the same convict league as some of the others. Maybe this is just a guy who made a mistake. We learn from our mistakes.
Now, if he makes the same mistake a couple of weeks later, then he hasnt really learned anything. In the meantime, give him a chance.
