Quarterback Trent Green is FINALLY a member of the Miami Dolphins.

According to the Associated Press, "Trent Green could be on the field with the Dolphins by this weekend after Miami finally agreed to terms with Kansas City on a trade for the quarterback... Green will undergo a physical in Miami and if he passes it, the trade will be completed, a person within the NFL with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. The person requested not to be identified because the deal is not official."

No word yet. They wanted a 4th rounder, Miami was offering a 6th that could become a conditional 5th. Not sure which team blinked first.

Trent Green is just a shadow of what he was. Our backup QB was doing better than he was when Trent was injured. But, Trent Green came back and lost KC football games. Atleast he's out of KC, and Damon Huart, a better QB, will be in that role now.

Ah, okay, so it is a 5th rounder. Kansas City gave in. A starting QB for a 5th round pick... that might even be better than the Moss trade.

i wouldnt go that far

Moss may have slacked off some, which i believe was due to losing and poor leadership that i think will be fixed

Green seems to be a bit of an unknown quantity since his injury

i think its a bit of comparing apples and oranges

Time will tell how Green does with the Dolphins. The question is what to do about Daunte? With not much leverage due to his injury, Daunte still won't want to be a second or third stringer. His time his short and he'll want to play as soon as he's ready. Eventually, there will be a team that needs him and will probably make an offer for him. Otherwise, QBs are far and in between, they're hot commodities.

Trent Green is a pretty good player but will he be the difference? I don't think so.

The Dolphins are now a very old team. They better go far into the playoffs in the next year or two.

well as much as i dont think he is a real good QB, he is only 30 .... so he better stay on the sides and get 100% healthy to have a shot ..... he has time to take over this team or another

Thankfully it is over. Now we can all sit and watch the "Where will Culpepper go" soap opera. They made the same mistake the Chiefs made by announcing Green is the starter and they are shopping him. They will not get much for him.
