The Dolphins recently modified their trade offer for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green, his agent, Jim Steiner, said Thursday morning. And although the Chiefs didn't immediately accept, Steiner said he continues to believe Green will end up with the Dolphins.
''I think we will get a deal done,'' Steiner said. ``There have been a lot of conversations.''
But Steiner said he has no idea when Green will become a Dolphin or whether it will be in time for the team's final minicamp June 8-10.
According to Steiner, the Dolphins offered a conditional sixth-round pick that would become a fifth-rounder if Green meets certain undisclosed conditions. But the Chiefs have asked for a fourth-round pick.Several media reports have suggested the Atlanta Falcons might pursue Green because of the uncertain status of Michael Vick, who has been investigated for dog fighting. But Steiner said he has not heard from the Falcons or any team other than the Dolphins.

I wonder what the "tweak" is? The 5th rounder was already on the table, and still being rejected. Now I wonder if a conditional 4th rounder is in the works?

ilke hearing trade romurs but this a joke the cheifs are doing a disservice to trent green damon haurd and brodie croyle trent green needs to meet his new team haurd and croyle need to work with the first team the quicker they ditch the better for all

You're right. They are treating this trade like it is a blockbuster. I would expect this if they were trying to get Brady or Manning.This is Trent Green.

I definitely agree that they're making this "trade" look huger than it really is. KC needs to stop playing around and get rid of Green already. I know they are trying to get the best deal out of the whole trade but come on, they've waited too long already. This is probably messing up their team chemistry because Green is still around and nothing has been done. They need to loosen up a little on their terms because Green isn't the best quarterback in the league.
