Ricky Williams trade?

Could we see Miami and Carolina swap players? Could Pro-Bowl DT Kris Jenkins become the newest Dolphin? It is an interesting idea to say the least. It would be beneficial to both teams and might just be a new start for both players who have had thier share of problems. Kris Jenkins is one of the best run stoppers in the game when he is on. Ricky Williams is suspect as far as his anexiety problems. It seems as though a trade would make sense for both teams. Miami already has a good running game and could use another stud on the defensive front. So what do you fans think?

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

well Stoney i was just about to ask this very question ....... basically

would Miami trade Ricky ...... and, could they get anything for him

seems they have a chance to get a very good running back in the draft and they wouldnt need Williams

what would he go for ?

do they have much more serious needs then another RB ?

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Miami needs to fish him out there.... Carolina would be stupid not to trade for him even though he would be another Stephen Davis good for a year or two. But then again Ricky hasn't had to endure the severe physical punishment of a full season in quite a while.

I rather see Carolina develop DeAngelo Williams...and keep Foster as a back up...plus Nick Goings ...I don't see them needing Ricky.

Deshaun Foster is terrible I would cut him nobody else would give us anything for him. DeAngelo willams lacks the power necessary to become an effective tool in the third and short situations and besides that he lacks speed and size. Nick Goings... Okay nothing spectacular I would much rather have Ricky Williams.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

I think they should shop him to see what offers they get, but I bet Carolina is not one of them. They should hope that a team like Oakland or Texans are interested. They could get some pretty nice draft picks out of him.

A pair of fourth and fith round draft picks or Kris Jenkins Pro-Bowl DT. Ricky is considered damaged goods.

Yeah, but I don't think the Fins are hurting for any more skilled defensive personnel. All their needs are on the other side of the ball.

If you can add a stud Pro-Bowl Dt for little cost why wouldn't you take him? Think about it a fresh runstopper and pass-rusher that can help your offense stay on the field longer.

Then the Dolphins should've won 26 Super Bowls by now.

Keep Ricky for a year. See if he can run and take the hits like everyone is saying he can (myself included). Between him and Ronnie Brown, we could end up with a respectable backfield.

To trade Ricky away for more defense is like doing a belly flop in an empty pool.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

I'm not sure, but having the fourth-rated overall defense in the league in 2006 might stir some OC's.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Just think of how much fun you would have watching Taylor get more sacks. Ball control is where it is at keep the other teams offense off the field and rest your defense. Chicago proved it works all year long last year. Your offense is better than thiers but they have a better "D". Come to think of it they were in the Superbowl and the Dolphins weren't.
