Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Back on topic, I don't think Ricky Williams would be traded for this defensive tackle. This trade is uneven, favoring the Dolphins if they are to acquire Jenkins.

The Dolphins 2006 offense was a joke. At least Chicago showed some signs of life. And the rankings show that Miami's defense actually put up better numbers than Chicago's, so I'm not sure where you got that info.

Miami's defense isn't broken. It doesn't need fixing. The offense DOES.

If you matched The Fins' defense from last season with a capable offense, they clearly would have been a major force in the AFC.

The only way you trade Ricky is if you get someone solid for the offensive line.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Somehow I see Al Davis trading for the #1 pick for Culpepper and Williams. Hey that's what Al's for...he's kind of like the sanitation worker of the NFL in that he takes in the trash.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Is that from your crystal ball, Nuke?

I'm not sure who would want Daunte Culpepper now. Maybe in 2002, there was a better chance.

I think they are better of seeing if Miami releases him

That would be even worse than taking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush.

Re: Ricky Williams trade?

Looks like the Rams are interested, but I haven't heard any possible deals there. Linehan likes Ricky and wants a backup for Jackson.

Yeah, but that's only because the Dolphins were outcoached all year.

Then the Dolphins ought to do it.
