How about you? Would you take him back? If I were the Dolphins, I'd get rid of him as soon as the ink was dry.They are going to have enough problems with the Captain of the Love Boat.

His last 'comeback' was reasonably successful and he helped Ronnie brown who IMO, needs someone to take the pressure off him as he is not a 30 carries/game back.

The problem is another couple of years have passed since then and you have to wonder about Williams desire and if this is just a case of wanting his payday before he finally retires.

I think the Phins will give him another chance, he has little, if any, trade value and he is a talented player. I'd still look to add another back if I were them though, just in case.

I think his upside out weigh the risk at this point...A horse of a back when he gets it going...and while the off years might hurt, they help rest a body that for a few years was getting +300 carries...As a sub for Ronnie Brown I think he would be great...the guy has only been in the league since 1999...same year as Edge with more rest and less injuries...

He most certainly is talented as a player. But too much time away and his desire seems to come and go with the wind.

does the league really need him back? i mean is he the type of player you think OH MY GOD! how did we go a season without him? he WAS a great RB but hes getting old now and i dont think hes got the great ability to come back and destroy defenses, i think hes got a season or 2 left in him and he wants to end on a high, although i must say i respect him for showing his commitment to the game by going to the CFL instead of just droppiing out of football completely when he was sent away from the NFL like most players do and then come back after their suspension and expect to be welcomed back with open arms and play in a team again

Bottom line: He needs money. He's relatively healthy and can still play. He will help the Dolphins' offense.

Who cares what the rest of the league thinks?

He doesnt know how much he owes the Dolphins, just that "its a lot?" Did you see that interview he did with Mike Wallace a couple years back??? The guy's brain has been fried, Ricky is all about Ricky, hes not sure what he wants,----- Come on, he left his teammates high and dry. I'd dump him on general principle. He wont be there when they need him anyway.
