Re: miami in England you have to love this

Glad to have you here at GTG.

No doubt you're excited about the Dolphins playing in England next season. Do you think there will be any negative effects from the long trip on the team? That's my lone fear if the Giants travel to Europe to play, too.

Negative effects?

Only if Ricky Williams can find a connecting flight to Amsterdam.

Sure hope they've sandwiched some extra off time around the game, because jet lagged player would make for an awful ugly football game.

Re: miami in England you have to love this

...there is nothing negative about this game at all. This is great for the NFL and I support this move 100% I've been to many places to see the dolphins play and as a huge fan and big supporter I would love the opportunity to head back to my home country of England visit with family and see an awesome football game.

There will be no jet lag etc 5 hours time difference they are ahead. the flight over is nothing and this game will be played within the first few weeks of the season tied in with a bye week right after. Think this is just awesome. My cousin over in England says it is big talk and the new re vamped Wembley is very nice he says.

Thumbs up to the NFL on this one and what a super bowl match up in two weeks. I love this game speak later

Re: miami in England you have to love this

i dont think Europe is the place to go

NFL Europe isnt doing so well i dont think

i fear this game may do well as a one time novelty act, but over all it may be like soccer in this country........no one really cares

Mexico would still be my choice they go wild when Dallas plays preseason there

or maybe Canada

MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Dolphins will host the New York Giants in a regular-season game in London later this year.

A person familiar with the NFL's decision told The Associated Press on Thursday that the Dolphins will move a home game overseas. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement will not be made until after commissioner Roger Goodell's Super Bowl news conference Friday.

The Dolphins and Giants will play in September or October, and the game will be scheduled around a bye week for both teams. The schedule won't be released until early spring.

It will be the second regular-season match played abroad. In October 2005, the Arizona Cardinals swapped a home game with San Francisco to Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The Cardinals' victory drew a crowd of 103,467.

The NFL hopes to play regular-season games again in Mexico, as well as in Canada, other cities in Europe, and in Japan, China and Australia. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will play a preseason game in the China Bowl on Aug. 8 at Beijing's Workers Stadium.

103,467 in attendence is why they should have multiple games in Mexico every year.........hell they could have 3 or 4 with different teams

I just realized that this counts as a Dolphins home game.

Great.
