Dom Capers Gets Record Deal from Dolphins

Yesterday, the Miami Dolphins made their defensive coordinator the highest paid assistant in the NFL. The new deal is for 3-years and $8.1 million.

It was rumored Capers would be a favorite to take over in the same position for the Giants....that's been shot down now.

So Dolphin fans, were you happy with Capers' defense last year?

Wow... locking up the D.C. before a new head coach is in place? That seems odd. Wouldn't a new coach want to bring in his own staff?

He He! Good grief, Charlie Brown! Wayne gonna back into this one? I hear Mike Shula got an interview with the fins. I hope that was just a courtesy call to bump his resume.

Nope, word is he's a serious candidate. Let's see if he can post a better record than Saban did in Miami, eh? It'd be hard not to.

Almost as hard as it would be to look good coaching after him at Alabama.

The Dolphins got burned on a coach, so now they want a puppet to prop up on the sidelines to clap and say f@#$ when the cameras are on him. The real coaching will be behind the curtains, from the ones making 8.1 mill for 3 years. The Dolphins will do with him what Alabama did, use him till he can be replaced. Probably come pretty cheap for them too.

I wouldn't expect his Daddy to be much help either, since that pool of infinte football wisdom did so well for him in his previous position.
