| Dolphins new coach Who wil be the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins? The two leading candidates right now appear to be Jim Mora and Georgia Tech's Chan Gailey. According to the AP, "Mora met Friday with the Dolphins. He went 26-22 in three seasons with Atlanta before he was fired Monday... Miami also got permission Friday to talk to Gailey, a former offensive coordinator for the team. The Dolphins also planned to interview San Diego offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner." Rumors about Bill Cowher being a candidate persist as well. Check this out: Cowher to Dolphins not that far-fetched - Rumors - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Re: Dolphins new coach So, when is Dan Marino gona decide it's time to come back in a coaching position? I know a few years ago their were rumors of him coming back in an operations position, but he would be a good off. coordinator!!!

Re: Dolphins new coach Careful with Marino as a head coach, remember Bart Starr's term as Packer coach! I think they just want to have famous guys on the sidelines running their team, they should look into a guy like Chan Gailey who is not that glamourous name wise but knows what he's doing ala Sean Payton and Eric Mangini.

Re: Dolphins new coach Yep, that's what Fox Sports has been reporting. So I guess he'd have to be the favorite at this point, eh? What do you Dolphins fans think about Mora as a coach? Based on his tenure at Atlanta, would he be a good hire, in your mind, or a mistake?

Re: Dolphins new coach Probably already called him & left a message or Wayne is on his jet headed for San Diego
