Should Miami bench Culpepper?

According to National Post News Services, "Fans of the Miami Dolphins began chanting for Joey Harrington to make an appearance in the latter stages of yesterday's game." That's because starting QB Daunte Culpepper went 23-of-32 for 250 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT, while being sacked 7 times. I personally don't think I'd pull the plug on him yet - with the 7 sacks, it sounds like he was under a lot of pressure all day, and those numbers aren't exactly awful. But do they tell the whole story? I don't know. All I know is Joey Harrington ain't exactly the second coming of Dan Marino himself. What do you guys think?

Re: Should Miami bench Culpepper?

I know Miami football fans are die-hards but they must be delirious if they think Joey Harrington is worth benching Daunte Culpepper.

In no way should you even consider doing that. Like it or not, Culpepper is the franchise QB. Harrington...is still just a bust.

Cool Re: Should Miami bench Culpepper?

No. It's only 2 games and they're paying Culpepper too much money.

Daunte is the man!...I am glad you are starting to come around SS...I knew you would, just a matter of time...I mean who is Dan Marino?...All he can do is make weight loss commerical...

I guess I didn't know that Daunte among is other rolls is suppose to help the line block...I mean 7 sacks?!?...yikes...Shouldn't the fans be screaming for the coaches heads?

i think there were enough sacks to spread the blame around

the line needs to block

the backs need to block

the WRs need to find a way to get open

and the QB needs to just get rid of the ball, completion or not

so with 7 sacks, Daunte must be responsible for atleast one of them
